Gran Via, Watlington is published in a signed, limited edition of 250, on archive quality, mould-made, acid free 308gsm Hahnemühle PhotoRag fine art paper. This paper has been specially developed for use with the latest light-fast inks. The printer used is an Epson 7890. The inks are Epson Ultrachrome pigment. Tests on the inks show the prints have a lightfast expectancy of 70 years without noticeable fade in average indoor conditions. The original painting of ‘Gran Via, Watlington’ was completed in mid-summer 2015. it is an elevated view of one of Watlington’s main thoroughfares, the High Street. The title, ‘Gran Via, Watlington’, is in homage to the celebrated Spanish painter, Antonio López García, whose painting, ‘Gran Via, Madrid’, is world famous.
